DataVista Privacy Policy

Short version: we don't track you. The only personal information we hold is your email address, and only if you subscribe to the newsletter.

Who we are

DataVista (datavista.tech) is a data-storytelling website made in Bahrain. Questions about this policy: hello@datavista.tech.

What we collect

• Newsletter: if you subscribe, we store your email address to send you the weekly chart. Nothing else: no name, no profile, no payment details. You can unsubscribe from any email with one click, and your address is then no longer used for mailings. Our newsletter provider also records the approximate country and region you signed up from.
• Visits: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying you. We see totals, such as how many people read a page, not who they are.
• No tracking: we don't use tracking or advertising cookies, and we don't follow you across other websites. Our newsletter doesn't track opens or clicks.

Who helps us run the site

• Ghost hosts our articles and the newsletter list, and sends the emails.
• Cloudflare hosts and delivers the website. It also provides our cookieless visit counts. Like any web host, it processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages securely.
• Datawrapper displays some of our interactive charts. Loading a chart connects your browser to Datawrapper's servers.

We don't sell or share your email address with anyone else.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@datavista.tech. We handle personal data in line with Bahrain's Personal Data Protection Law.
